The College of Cardinals recently expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the religious and political leaders who attended the Pope’s funeral on Saturday. They also extended their thanks to the civil authorities who played a crucial role in organizing the event.
In a press release from the Holy See, the College of Cardinals thanked the heads of Churches and representatives of various religions, including Islam, Judaism, and others, for their presence at Pope Francis’ funeral. The Cardinals also acknowledged the heads of state and government delegations that attended the funeral, recognizing their tribute to Pope Francis’ unwavering commitment to faith, peace, and fraternity.
In addition, the College of Cardinals expressed their gratitude to the Italian authorities, the City of Rome, security services, Civil Defence, media personnel, and all the workers who helped ensure that the events unfolded smoothly and orderly.
