Welcome to the most beautiful proclamation in history! At 10:30 this morning, Easter Sunday, St. Peter’s Square was filled with flowers and joy as more than 35,000 faithful gathered to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
Cardinal Angelo Comastri, presided over the Easter Mass this year, as Pope Francis was still recovering. The Roman faithful and pilgrims from around the world came together for this special occasion.
The celebration began with the rite of the “Resurrexit,” reminding us to seek Jesus beyond the tomb. The message of Easter calls us to look for Christ in every aspect of our lives, not confining Him to the past.
Just like Mary Magdalene, Peter, and John, we are called to run towards Jesus, to seek Him in our daily encounters and experiences. The risen Christ is present among us, guiding us, comforting us, and filling our lives with love and light.
Let us embrace the hope of Easter, renewing our faith and sharing it with others. Like the disciples, let us hasten to meet Christ, allowing His resurrection to transform our lives and fill us with joy.
On this Jubilee, let us surrender our worries to hope and run towards Jesus with renewed enthusiasm. Let us allow the risen Christ to make everything new in our lives, bringing us eternal joy and renewal.
With the risen Christ, everything is new. Let us embrace this eternal newness and begin again with Him by our side.
