Pope Francis has a special message for university students connected to Opus Dei during this jubilee year. In a message to participants of the International UNIV Congress 2025 in Rome, he encouraged them to share “the Gospel of Jesus Christ, dead and risen” with everyone.
In a letter released by the Holy See, the pope greeted young people attending the congress, which coincides with Holy Week. He highlighted the significance of the event, celebrating both Holy Year 2025 and the centenary of the priestly ordination of St. Josemaría Escrivá.
The pope expressed his joy and prayers for the students, urging them to bring the message of hope found in the Gospel to all. He emphasized the importance of faith, charity, and hope in their journey.
As the congress, inspired by St. Josemaría Escrivá, continues its tradition since 1968, Pope Francis concluded his message by asking for prayers and imparting his blessing upon the participants. He reminded them to pray for him as well.
