Exploring the Gospels with Pope Francis
Delve into the captivating stories of the Gospels as narrated by none other than Pope Francis himself. As we celebrate Easter, Vatican News is excited to bring back an enlightening 18-episode series, originally released at Easter in 2022. Produced by the Dicastery for Communication in collaboration with the Vatican Apostolic Library, the Vatican Museums, and Italy’s public broadcaster Rai Cultura, this series showcases Pope Francis reflecting on key encounters from Jesus’ life, starting with Matthew, the tax collector.
Crafted by Andrea Tornielli and Lucio Brunelli, this visually stunning program was directed and filmed by Renato Cerisola, accompanied by original music composed by Michelangelo Palmacci.
Andrea Tornielli, Editorial Director of Vatican Media, highlights the significance of this series, especially during a time when the Pope’s voice may not be as prevalent. “This offers an opportunity to hear his voice again and reflect on some of the most profound moments of his teaching in which he speaks about Jesus,” Tornielli shares.
