Even though the Pope couldn’t be with us in person, he extends his greetings to our new Rector Major, Father Fabio Attard, who was recently elected to lead us forward. We are grateful for the ten years of service from Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime and his dedication to the universal Church.

Reflecting on our motto, “Salesians passionate about Jesus Christ and dedicated to young people,” Pope Francis praises our commitment to serving others with love and enthusiasm. While the challenges may have evolved over time, our faith and zeal remain steadfast, enriched by new cultural perspectives.

As we embark on this new chapter, Pope Francis expresses his gratitude for the positive impact the Salesians have had around the world. He encourages us to continue our work with perseverance and asks for prayers for himself and all those involved in the Chapter.
