Pope Francis Announces Theme for World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation

The 2025 edition of the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation coincides with the Jubilee Year and marks the 10th anniversary of the encyclical Laudato si’.
The theme chosen by Pope Francis for this special occasion is “Seeds of Peace and Hope”. This year’s celebration will kick off the Season of Creation, an ecumenical initiative that runs from September 1 to October 4.
In a recent statement, the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development emphasized the importance of “peace with creation” as the central theme for this year’s event, drawing inspiration from Isaiah 32:14–18.
