Exciting News! Pope Francis to Greet Crowd Outside Gemelli Hospital
Get ready, because Pope Francis is set to make a special appearance after 12pm to greet the crowd outside Gemelli hospital in Rome!
By Vatican News
This Saturday morning, the Holy See Press Office announced that the Pope is planning to give his blessing to the crowd outside Gemelli hospital on Sunday, March 23, shortly after 12pm. The text of the Angelus will also be shared, just like in the past few weeks.
Even though there is no official word yet on when the Pope will be discharged from the hospital, this Sunday greeting will mark his first appearance since being hospitalized on February 14. The latest health update has shown that Pope Francis is making steady progress in both his respiratory and motor functions.
Despite being in the hospital for the past five weeks, the Pope has not let that slow him down. He has been working diligently, sending messages to pilgrim groups, joining in Mass celebrations, and even recording a voice message on March 6 to express his gratitude for all the love and support he has received.
Vatican Media will be livestreaming the Pope’s greeting and blessing on the Vatican Media YouTube channel. Don’t miss this special moment: Watch here
