Welcome to the Blog of Archbishop Bernadito Auza
Greetings, dear readers! Today, I am thrilled to share with you the exciting news that Archbishop Bernardito Auza has been appointed as the new Apostolic Nuncio to the European Union. This appointment comes as a great honor and privilege for Archbishop Auza, who succeeds Archbishop Noel Teanor who sadly passed away in August 2024.
Archbishop Auza has been serving as the Apostolic Nuncio to the Kingdom of Spain and the Principality of Andorra since October 1, 2019. Prior to that, he held the position of Apostolic Nuncio and Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations in New York. During his time at the United Nations, Archbishop Auza played a crucial role in various international negotiations and initiatives, including the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
As a native of Talibon, Philippines, Archbishop Auza has dedicated his life to serving the Church and promoting peace and justice around the world. He has a wealth of experience in diplomacy and has served in various Apostolic Nunciatures before taking on his current role.
I invite you to join me in congratulating Archbishop Bernardito Auza on his new appointment and in wishing him all the best as he embarks on this important mission to the European Union. Stay tuned for more updates and insights from Archbishop Auza’s inspiring journey!
