The National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Maryland is hosting the first-ever Eucharistic Congress for the Catholic Deaf community this spring.
The congress, scheduled for April 4–6, will bring together approximately 230 Catholics to pray and honor the Eucharist. Father Mike Depcik, the event organizer and one of the few deaf priests in the world, shared this information.
As the chaplain for the Deaf ministry in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Depcik has played a significant role in expanding the Deaf Catholic community in Maryland and beyond.
Designed by Depcik, the congress aims to provide a platform for deaf individuals to actively engage and participate in the event.
