Praying for Pope Francis: African Ambassadors Organize Special Mass
Join us in a special Mass for the health of Pope Francis, organized by the African Ambassadors to the Holy See. This meaningful event will take place at the historic Hungarian Chapel in the Vatican Grottos, presided over by Cardinal Peter Turkson, Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.
It is a gathering of Holy See Ambassadors from across Africa, coming together in prayer and solidarity for the well-being of our beloved Pope. The Mass will commence at 10am on Thursday, creating a moment of spiritual closeness to the Holy Father as his health remains a focus of concern.
Cardinal Peter Turkson, a prominent figure in the Vatican with roots in Ghana, will lead the congregation in prayer. The African ambassadors expressed their deep affection and respect for Pope Francis in a heartfelt letter announcing the event, emphasizing their commitment to upholding his teachings and spreading the Gospel worldwide.
As a further testament to their support, another Mass for the Pope’s health will be organized by the Ambassadors of Cyprus, Poland, and Lithuania to the Holy See, scheduled for 6pm on the same day. Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Holy See Secretary for Relations with States, will preside over this liturgy at Rome’s Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus.
Let us come together in prayer and unity, sending our thoughts and best wishes to Pope Francis during this challenging time. Your presence and prayers are greatly appreciated as we join in solidarity with the global Catholic community.
