Welcome to the recap of the recent National Pro-Life Congress held in Madrid!
The event, organized by the Federation of Pro-Life Associations and San Pablo CEU University, had the theme “From the Inside Out” and aimed to shed light on the defense of human life through powerful testimonies.
One of the impactful stories shared at the Congress was that of María Ángeles, a mother of seven children, including two lost before birth. She recounted how a pro-abortion gynecologist advised her to terminate her pregnancy, but she chose life, now grateful for her 13-year-old son who wouldn’t have been born otherwise.
The importance of informed decision-making for pregnant women and the long-lasting effects of abortion on individuals and society were emphasized throughout the Congress.
Moses: A Tale of Resilience
The event also drew parallels from the Book of Exodus, highlighting the courage of Hebrew midwives and the resilience of Moses, who defied oppressive laws to lead his people to freedom.
The story of Moses, saved from the Nile and raised to be a leader, serves as a reminder of the power of maternal love and the ingenuity to protect innocent lives.
Promoting Foster Families: A Noble Cause
The Congress also shed light on the importance of foster families, with speakers like Mariló Alfonso sharing their experiences of providing temporary homes for children in need.
Mariló emphasized the difference between foster care and adoption, highlighting the need for more families to support the foster care system in Spain.
Clara, another speaker, shared her journey of caring for eleven children with health problems, underscoring the challenges and rewards of being part of the foster care community.
The stories shared at the Congress reaffirm the belief that women are natural defenders of life and that love and compassion can overcome any obstacles in the pursuit of justice and freedom.
