The 2025 Rome Marathon has once again solidified its place on the international stage, offering athletes a captivating journey through the ancient history of the eternal city.
The 30th edition of the Rome Marathon took place on Sunday, March 16, 2025, with a record participation of around 28,000 athletes from 126 nations. The 42.195 km route traversed the most iconic landmarks of the Capital, providing participants with a unique experience blending history and sport.

The men’s race saw a leading group primarily composed of Kenyan athletes, with Robert Ngeno taking the lead at the 40th km and winning with a time of 2h07’35”. Among the women, Betty Chepkwony dominated the competition, securing her second victory after the 2023 edition, with a time of 2h26’16”.
