Update on Pope Francis’ Health: Swelling Improving
Good news from Rome’s Gemelli Hospital! Pope Francis is showing signs of improvement as he continues to receive care for his health. The swelling in his hand, which was visible in a recent photo, has already started to improve.
The latest update from the Holy See Press Office on Monday evening revealed that the Pope’s condition is stable, with slight improvements in his respiratory and motor functions. He is now using high-flow oxygen therapy with nasal cannulas less frequently and has even been able to go without oxygen therapy at times. During the night, he uses non-invasive mechanical ventilation to support his breathing.
Despite his health challenges, Pope Francis has been spending his days in prayer, resting, and even doing some work. The medical team is closely monitoring his progress, and the next bulletin is scheduled for Wednesday. In the meantime, the Press Office will continue to provide general updates to keep everyone informed.
Let’s continue to keep Pope Francis in our thoughts and prayers as he recovers and regains his strength. We look forward to more positive updates in the days to come.
