Pope Francis Continues to Recover at Gemelli Hospital
Good news from the Vatican as Pope Francis had a restful night, according to the latest update from the Holy See Press Office. The Pope’s doctors have reported that his prognosis is no longer guarded, although he will need more time in the hospital to fully recover.
Despite his hospitalization at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital since February 14th due to bronchitis, Pope Francis has shown slight improvements in his clinical condition. The Holy Father has been following his spiritual exercises at the Vatican via video link and spending time in prayer and reflection.
While the Pope continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy and medical care, his doctors are pleased with his stable health situation. Although a detailed medical bulletin was not issued recently due to the positive progress, it is clear that Pope Francis is on the road to recovery.
Today, there will not be a distribution of the Wednesday General Audience catechesis as the spiritual exercises of the Roman Curia are currently taking place. We continue to keep Pope Francis in our thoughts and prayers as he continues his journey towards full health.
