Pope Francis Shows Signs of Improvement
It’s a hopeful Sunday morning as Pope Francis continues to rest peacefully, showing a good response to therapy according to a medical update from yesterday evening.
The Holy See Press Office has confirmed that the Pope had a quiet night and is currently resting at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, where he has been receiving care since February 14th.
Saturday Evening Update
The latest health update from Saturday evening revealed that the Pope’s clinical condition has remained stable over the past few days, with a gradual, mild improvement in response to therapy. There has been no fever, improved respiratory gas exchange, and stable blood work results. However, the doctors maintain a guarded prognosis as they continue to monitor his progress.
Despite his health, Pope Francis remains active in his duties. Cardinal Michael Czerny will read the Pope’s prepared homily for the Mass celebrating the Jubilee of the World of Volunteers in Saint Peter’s Square. Additionally, the Pope’s midday Angelus address will be shared as usual.
In the afternoon, Pope Francis will participate in spiritual exercises in the Paul VI Hall at the Vatican, staying connected with the Roman Curia in communion.
Let us continue to keep Pope Francis in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
