By Vatican News
The Holy See Press Office provided an update on Saturday morning regarding Pope Francis’ health, stating that he had a good night and continues to rest peacefully.
The Pope’s clinical condition has remained stable over the past few days as he receives treatment for bilateral pneumonia at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital.
According to the Press Office, the Pope spent Friday alternating between prayer, rest, and work, with his respiratory physiotherapy ongoing.
During the day, Pope Francis uses nasal cannulas for high-flow oxygenation, while at night he utilizes non-invasive mechanical ventilation. The Press Office mentioned that his prognosis remains guarded, with a more detailed medical update expected later on Saturday evening.
