While Pope Francis continues to receive treatment at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, his condition remains stable, and he remains engaged with Church matters.
Recently, the pontiff addressed pilgrims of the Movement for Life from his hospital room, with Cardinal Pietro Parolin delivering the message during a Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica on Mar. 8.
In his message, Pope Francis, aged 88, expressed gratitude to the pro-life pilgrims on the 50th anniversary of their organization, praising their support for mothers facing challenging pregnancies.
He encouraged the Movement for Life to persist in their mission, emphasizing the importance of supporting human life, especially in its most vulnerable stages.
Medical staff are providing the pope with necessary oxygenation and ventilation support, ensuring his comfort and well-being.
Due to his health condition, Pope Francis will not be making public appearances, with his messages being published instead.
Cardinal Michael Czerny will read the pope’s homily at the Mass for the Jubilee of Volunteers, and will lead a rosary in St. Peter’s Square to pray for the Holy Father.
