“The Pope had a restful night and woke up shortly after 8:00,” the Holy See Press Office informed journalists in a statement on Friday morning.
His condition on Thursday remained stable, with no episodes of respiratory insufficiency reported. Due to this stability, the next medical bulletin is scheduled to be released on Saturday.
Throughout Thursday, Pope Francis continued his respiratory and motor physiotherapy, which had beneficial effects. He also managed to avoid having a fever, balancing work and rest during the day.
Before the nightly Rosary in St. Peter’s Square, the Pope sent an audio message expressing his gratitude for the prayers and support he has received. He blessed everyone and assured them of his presence and prayers from the hospital.
