EU Summit Drafts: ‘Peace Must Respect Ukraine’s Borders’
“Peace must respect the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.” This is stated in the latest draft conclusions of the upcoming EU summit on Thursday. The new text also recommends “increasing pressure on Russia to weaken its ability to continue its war of aggression.”
The EU will continue to provide regular and predictable financial support to Ukraine, totaling 30.6 billion euros by 2025, with disbursements from the Ukraine instrument reaching 12.5 billion euros and 18.1 billion euros under the G7 initiative.
