Welcome to our blog where we share the latest updates and insights from the recent National Priests Association gathering in Liberia!
After a three-day meeting held at St. Paul’s College-Seminary, Archbishop Walter Erbì, the Apostolic Nuncio to Liberia, Sierra Leone, and the Gambia, inspired the priests to cherish the profound memory of their divine calling.
Archbishop Erbì emphasized the significance of recalling the moment when each priest embraced their vocation with gratitude for God’s blessings. He reminded them that they are anointed to spread God’s grace to others.
Building Strong Bonds
The Nuncio commended the priests for fostering strong bonds of fraternity and unity, encouraging them to support each other through challenging times.
The priests also committed to praying for the health and well-being of Pope Francis, seeking God’s protection and blessings for him as he leads the universal Church.
Nurturing Parish Communities
The priests pledged to collaborate with their Local Ordinaries in providing pastoral care to their parishes and communities, in accordance with the Church’s Code of Canon Law. They aim to ensure that their parish communities grow in faith and unity, following the pastor’s role as a spiritual leader and community facilitator.
Promoting Responsible Stewardship
With a commitment to safeguarding policies, the priests vowed to protect minors and vulnerable adults under their care. They also affirmed their duty to promote responsible stewardship of the Church’s resources and encourage the faithful to support the Church’s evangelizing mission.
