Update on Pope Francis’ Health
The Holy See Press Office recently provided an update on Pope Francis’ health, revealing positive developments in his condition. Despite the severity of his clinical state, there has been a slight improvement. No new episodes of asthma-like respiratory distress have occurred, and certain laboratory tests have shown progress. Monitoring of his mild kidney insufficiency has not raised any concerns, and while oxygen therapy continues, the flow and levels have been slightly reduced.
Given the complexity of the situation, doctors are maintaining a cautious prognosis as they carefully monitor the Pope’s progress.
In the morning, the Pope received the Eucharist, and in the afternoon, he resumed his work. Later in the evening, he reached out to the parish priest of Gaza to express his paternal closeness. Pope Francis expressed gratitude to the People of God for their prayers and support during this time.
Additionally, reports regarding an apartment at Rome’s Isola Tiberina – Gemelli Isola Hospital for a potential transfer of Pope Francis are false. The apartment is designated for private patients and not for the Pope’s use.
Despite these challenges, it is encouraging to see the Pope’s determination and continued engagement with his responsibilities. Let us all continue to keep Pope Francis in our thoughts and prayers for his full recovery.
