Brothers and sisters, Happy Sunday!
This morning, a special celebration took place in Saint Peter’s Basilica with the Ordination of new deacons. I extend my warm greetings to the candidates and all those who participated in the Jubilee of Deacons event in the Vatican. A big thank you to the Dicasteries for the Clergy and for Evangelization for organizing this meaningful gathering.
To all the devoted Deacons out there, your dedication to spreading God’s Word and serving with love is truly inspiring. Your ministry is a beacon of hope and compassion in the Church, reaching out to all with God’s love and mercy. Keep shining brightly and continue to be ambassadors of love in a world that needs it the most. Embrace the challenges with love!
As I continue my treatment at the Gemelli Hospital, I am grateful for the care and support of the medical staff. Rest is an essential part of healing, and I am in good hands. Thank you to all the healthcare workers for their tireless dedication to serving the sick.
Tomorrow marks the third anniversary of the devastating war in Ukraine, a somber reminder of the ongoing conflicts around the world. Let us pray for peace in all troubled regions, including Palestine, Israel, the Middle East, Myanmar, Kivu, and Sudan. Our thoughts are with the innocent victims of violence.
I have been deeply moved by the outpouring of love and prayers from people worldwide, especially the touching messages and drawings from children. Your support means the world to me. Let us all seek the intercession of Mary and continue to pray for each other.
