Today, we mourn the passing of Ilaria Iacoboni, a journalist from Radio Capital in Rome. Born in Naples 49 years ago, she had been working in the radio’s newsroom for some time: first in the news department, then moving on to the afternoon slot. She worked on programs like Tg Zero with Vittorio Zucconi and the current news director, Edoardo Buffoni, and later with Michela Murgia.
For the past two years, she had been battling cancer. Her colleagues at Radio Capital remember her professionalism, her smile, and her warmth. Ilaria leaves behind her 12-year-old son Tazio and her partner Marco. The funeral will be held on Thursday, February 20th in Rome at 10 AM at the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere.
