Let’s take a moment to send healing thoughts and prayers to Pope Francis, currently hospitalized at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome for bronchitis. Despite being unable to lead the Angelus prayer this Sunday, the Pontiff remains in rest to aid his recovery as advised by medical professionals.
Even in his absence, the Pope’s message, shared by the Press Office of the Holy See, expresses gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and affection received during his healing process. He emphasizes the significance of faith and solidarity during challenging times.
Reflecting on a recent Mass dedicated to artists at St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Francis underscores the power of art as a universal language that transcends differences and unites people. He calls upon the international community to continue striving for peace, advocating for conflict resolution through dialogue and understanding.
As the Pontiff remains under medical observation, we await updates from specialists on his progress and potential discharge from the hospital in the days ahead.

Brothers and sisters, Happy Sunday!
Today, we gathered in the Vatican for a special Eucharist dedicated to artists from around the world participating in the Jubilee Days. Despite my absence due to ongoing treatment at the Gemelli Polyclinic, I extend my gratitude to all the artists for spreading beauty and harmony through their creations.
I send warm regards to all pilgrims in Rome, especially those from the Diocese of Parma on a diocesan pilgrimage. Let us continue to pray for peace in troubled regions like Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, the Middle East, Myanmar, Kivu, and Sudan.
I am deeply touched by the prayers and support I have received during this time, and I am grateful to the dedicated medical staff at the hospital. Let us keep them in our thoughts and prayers as they provide essential care.
Let us turn to Mary, the “Full of Grace,” for guidance in spreading beauty that heals the world, just as she did.
