Amidst the chaos of global conflicts, a beacon of hope has emerged in the form of the newly created “Unbroken Kids” Alliance. This alliance brings together humanitarian groups from around the world, dedicated to bringing hope and lasting change to children and families affected by the horrors of war.
Created by the National Confederation of the Misericordie of Italy, the Unbroken Foundation, and the 5P Europe Foundation, the Unbroken Kids Alliance aims to address the deep physical and psychological scars inflicted on children and their families by war. This powerful initiative was first announced on the 29th of January in Rome, during the First International Summit on Children’s Rights.
Collaboration for Change
The alliance showcases the incredible power that can come from the collaboration between humanitarian entities. Through targeted programs, the Unbroken Kids Alliance provides medical assistance, psychological support, and sustainable rehabilitation for all those affected by war.
An Official Gathering in Rome
Representatives of the partner organizations will gather in Rome’s Basilica of San Salvatore in Lauro on the 2nd of February to sign a collaboration agreement. High-ranking international figures will be in attendance to express solidarity with this crucial movement.
Close to Ukraine and Palestine
The Unbroken Kids Alliance is actively involved in rebuilding healthcare structures in Ukraine, including plans for a new pediatric hospital in Lviv. In Palestine, the alliance has sent 70 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Gaza and is planning to open three new medical clinics in the region.
A Future of Hope in the Jubilee Year
As the Church celebrates the Jubilee Year, the Unbroken Kids Alliance calls for the protection of children and families in conflict zones to be an absolute priority. This initiative offers services that go beyond immediate relief, focusing on training local healthcare workers for a lasting impact on the region’s medical infrastructure.
