Every month, the Pope’s prayer intentions are made public. For instance, in January 2025, the focus is on the right to education.
On January 23rd, a delegation from the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network had the honor of meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace.
An Inspiring Journey of the Heart
Welcoming the new Director of the Network and its members, the Pope expressed his gratitude for the positive reception of his latest encyclical, Dilexit Nos. He emphasized how this letter could serve as a source of spiritual nourishment for the Network’s apostolate.

Pope Francis shared how the Worldwide Prayer Network refers to the encyclical as “The Way of the Heart,” signifying a dual meaning. Firstly, it represents the journey of Jesus and His Sacred Heart through His incarnation, passion, death, and resurrection. Secondly, it symbolizes the journey of our own hearts, wounded by sin but transformed by love.
Mary Leading the Way
On both of these journeys, the Pope highlighted how Mary serves as our guide. Just like in the Gospel of Luke where Mary pondered Jesus’ words and actions in her heart, she teaches us to do the same.
Jubilee Year and the Power of Prayer
With the upcoming Jubilee Year and the Jubilee for Communication, scheduled for January 24-26, the Pope emphasized the vital role of the Worldwide Prayer Network. Their mission is to help individuals and communities embrace the Jubilee by combining prayer with compassion, closeness to those in need, and acts of mercy.
