The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which runs from Jan. 18–25, holds special significance this year as we commemorate the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, the first ecumenical council in history held in A.D. 325.
To conclude the week of prayer, on Jan. 25, the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, Pope Francis will lead vespers at St. Paul Outside the Walls Basilica at 5:30 p.m. Rome time.
Moreover, on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 6 p.m., the Diocese of Rome has organized a traveling vigil that will visit three different places of worship: the Lutheran church at 70 Via Sicilia, St. Andrew Orthodox Church at 153 Via Sardegna, and St. Peter’s Basilica.
