Heartbreaking news has emerged from Nigeria, where two religious women have been abducted by gunmen in the Orumba North Local Government area. The entire community is in shock and Sister Maria Sobenna Ikeotuonye, Secretary-General of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Mother of Christ, is calling for prayers and support during this difficult time.
The victims, Sister Vincentia Maria Nwankwo and Sister Grace Mariette Okoli, were ambushed while traveling along Ufuma Road after attending a Vocational Association meeting in Ogboji. Sister Vincentia Maria serves as the Principal of Archbishop Charles Heerey Memorial Model Secondary School in Ufuma, while Sister Grace Mariette is a dedicated teacher at Immaculata Girls Model Secondary School in Nnewi.
In a heartfelt plea, Sister Ikeotuonye urges everyone to pray for the safe return of the abducted Sisters, entrusting them to the powerful intercession of the Blessed Mother Mary. She asks for fervent prayers and supplications to God, hoping for their speedy release and safe return. Let us unite in prayer and faith, believing that Sister Vincentia Maria and Sister Grace Mariette will soon be reunited with their community, unharmed and unconditionally freed from the hands of their kidnappers.
