Located on the Via Ostiense near the Tiber River, the Basilica of Saint Paul stands as a symbol of faith and martyrdom. Cardinal Harvey opened the Holy Door, adorned with bronze bas-reliefs depicting Saint Paul’s life, amidst a prayerful atmosphere. This act signified the beginning of a spiritual journey for all those present, with the Cardinal crossing the threshold as the Jubilee hymn filled the air.
The Eucharistic celebration that followed saw over 2,800 people in attendance, including members of the monastic community of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. The procession made its way to the Altar of Confession, led by Cardinal Harvey and Archbishop Rino Fisichella, emphasizing the importance of faith and hope in the hearts of the faithful.
