Welcome to the 2025 Jubilee Year, a time centered on hope and reflection. This special year encourages us to ponder our connections with God, with others, and with the world around us. As we delve into this examination of conscience, guided by the Synod’s invitation to journey together as a synodal Church, we aim to strengthen our faith, deepen our relationships, and enhance our mission in the global community.
I. Reflecting on my Relationship with God
1. Embracing Hope in God
- Do I trust in God’s promise of salvation during challenging times?
- Am I nurturing my faith and hope through prayer and the sacraments?
- Have I prioritized my participation in the Sunday Eucharist and personal prayer?
2. Engaging with the Word
- Do I actively listen to and apply the Word of God in my daily life?
- Do I allow God’s Word to guide my decisions and illuminate my path?
3. Practicing Gratitude and Praise
- Do I express gratitude to God for the blessings I receive each day?
- Have I taken blessings for granted or been unappreciative?
II. Reflecting on my Relationship with Others
1. Building Community Together
- Do I value and actively engage with my parish or ecclesial community?
- Have I shown openness and empathy towards those with differing perspectives?
2. Embracing Synodality: Listening and Dialogue

Lord, source of our hope, guide me as I walk with you and my fellow brothers and sisters in a spirit of unity, participation, and purpose. Forgive my shortcomings and strengthen my faith so that I may be a beacon of your love in the world. May this Jubilee Year renew my spirit and inspire me to live with joy and hope, always trusting in your boundless mercy. Amen.
