Welcome to the Advent Homilies with Father Roberto Pasolini
The anticipation of Christmas is not just a festive time but also a period of spiritual reflection and renewal. This year, the Paul VI Hall will host three special Advent homilies by the new Preacher of the Papal Household, Capuchin Father Roberto Pasolini. The theme, “The Doors of Hope. Towards the Opening of the Holy Year through the Prophecy of Christmas,” sets the tone for a deep and meaningful journey towards the upcoming Jubilee.
Join us on the 6th, 13th, and 20th of December at 9:00 am as Father Pasolini shares his insights and meditations with cardinals, archbishops, bishops, and the wider papal family. The homilies will also be available to employees of the Roman Curia, the Governorate, the Vicariate of Rome, and representatives of religious orders affiliated with the Pontifical Chapel.
Exploring the Doors of Wonder, Trust, and Smallness
During this Advent season, Father Pasolini invites us to open our hearts to the messages of the prophets and embrace the doors that lead us closer to the mystery of our humanity. These doors include the door of wonder, encouraging us to see the seeds of the Gospel in the world; the door of trust, guiding us to approach others with openness and respect; and the door of smallness, reminding us to embrace our true selves without fear.
Preparing for Inner Metamorphosis
As we prepare for the upcoming Holy Year, let us reflect on the words of Paul VI from the 1975 Jubilee. The symbolic opening of the doors of mercy and forgiveness signifies a step towards inner transformation and moral truth. Let us embrace this time of grace with open hearts and a willingness to undergo a conversion of the soul.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the joy and spiritual enrichment of the Advent homilies with Father Roberto Pasolini. Let the prophecy of Christmas guide you towards a season of hope, renewal, and transformation.
