Embrace Hope with Pope Francis’ December Prayer Intention
Pope Francis has set the prayer intention for the month of December as a call for all to become pilgrims of hope.
“Christian hope is a divine gift that brings joy and optimism to our lives, especially in times of great need. The world is in dire need of hope, now more than ever,” emphasized the Holy Father in a video message released on December 3rd.
In a world where uncertainties about the future can easily lead to despair, Pope Francis urged, “Where do we find hope?”
“Hope is our anchor – a lifeline that we cast out to hold onto, especially when the storms of life threaten to overwhelm us. We must grasp onto this rope of hope firmly,” he continued.
Encouraging mutual support among believers, he emphasized the importance of sharing the encounter with Christ, who is the source of life. He called on everyone to embark on a journey as pilgrims of hope, leading up to the upcoming jubilee celebration.
“Let us embrace each day with the gift of hope that God offers us, and let us become beacons of hope to all who seek it,” Pope Francis concluded.
