Welcome to Exaudi, where Monsignor Enrique Díaz Díaz shares his insightful reflection on the Gospel of this Sunday, December 1, 2024. Join us on this spiritual journey as we delve into the message of hope embedded in the scriptures.
Jeremiah 33, 14-16: “I will make a holy shoot grow from the stem of David”
Psalm 24: “Make known to us, Lord, your ways”
I Thessalonians 3, 12-4, 2: “May the Lord strengthen them until the Lord comes”
St. Luke, 21, 25-28. 34-36: “Their liberation is near”
As we embark on the season of Advent, Pope Francis invites us to embrace hope as we prepare for the upcoming Jubilee 2025. Hope, a universal desire for goodness, propels us forward despite the uncertainties of the future. Advent symbolizes hope, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness towards the ultimate truth found in Jesus Christ.
Advent calls for preparation, perseverance, and unwavering hope as we anticipate the arrival of Christ. While the readings may evoke fear and uncertainty, Jesus urges us to remain vigilant and hopeful. Like Jeremiah’s promise of a shoot from the stem of David, we are reminded that even in the darkest moments, God’s light of hope shines brightest.
Let us not be consumed by fear or distractions, but instead, let us face challenges with courage and faith. Jesus calls us to be alert, watchful, and prayerful, guiding us through the journey of Advent with hope and love in our hearts.
This Advent, let us reflect on the stirring in our hearts, the risks we face, and how we can prepare for the true essence of Christmas. May our hearts be open to the coming of Christ, filled with love and anticipation for His return in our lives.
Good Father, awaken in us the desire to prepare for the coming of Christ with an alert heart, vigilant senses, and fraternal love. May His presence bring justice and righteousness to our lives. Amen.
