Welcome to Rome: Prepare for Transportation Challenges!
Calling all Rome commuters! Brace yourself for potential disruptions to local bus and subway services on Monday, October 28. A 24-hour strike by public transport workers is set to take place, impacting the daily commute for many.
The strike, organized by the USB and Orsa trade unions, is scheduled to occur from 08:30 to 17:00 and then again from 20:00 until the end of service. According to the city’s website, this strike will impact the ATAC municipal public transport network within the city limits.
Fortunately, bus routes operating in the suburbs by private companies will not be affected by the strike. While Rome public transport workers did not participate in the nationwide strike on October 18, this recent industrial action adds to a series of strikes that have been affecting various modes of transportation in Italy throughout October.
