In a move towards a more synodal style, discussions during the second session of the Synod on Synodality on October 15 and 16 covered the unity of the Church and the roles of Bishops’ Conferences. The speakers at the Synod press briefing shed light on the crucial role of theologian experts and canonists in this session.

Dr. Paolo Ruffini, along with Dr. Sheila Pires, provided updates on the assembly’s progress. The focus was on discussing the final part of the Instrumentum laboris, with small groups working on presenting an initial proposal of key issues to address.
