Step into the Shrine of the Naked, where we honor the memory of Francis who stripped himself of everything to show that Jesus was his ‘everything’. Just as Francis fulfilled his mission of ‘repairing the Church’ in a state of utter nakedness, Blessed Carlo Acutis was called to surrender even his youth and life to carry out incredible work from heaven, spreading holiness, joy, and abundant life.
A Saint in the Making
In a moving homily delivered by Monsignor Domenico Sorrentino, Bishop of Assisi β Nocera Umbra β Gualdo Tadino and Foligno, he shared that Providence has set the stage for Carlo Acutis’ canonization in the upcoming jubilee year as a beacon of hope. Blessed Carlo will soon be known as Saint Carlo, although his humility and friendship will always shine through.
The Legacy of Carlo
As part of the celebrations for Blessed Carlo Acutis’ liturgical memory, an exhibition showcasing Eucharistic miracles, conceived by Carlo himself, was unveiled at the Sanctuary of the Dispossession. This exhibition will be open to the public until mid-November, offering visitors a profound glimpse into the wonders of the Eucharist. The festivities culminated with a prayerful gathering at the Sanctuary of the Expulsion, featuring the heartfelt music of MartΓn Valverde, a beloved musician and devout follower of Blessed Carlo.
