Join the Pro-Palestinian Rally in Rome.
Get ready to march for a cause in Rome on Saturday, October 12! Thousands of people are expected to join the pro-Palestinian rally and make their voices heard on the streets of the capital.
The rally kicks off at Piramide at 15:00 and will lead to street closures and traffic restrictions along the route from Piazzale Ostiense to Piazza Vittorio.
After a previous unauthorized demonstration resulted in clashes, security measures will be in place to ensure a peaceful protest this time. The violent incidents from the previous rally have been condemned by Italy’s prime minister, Giorgia Meloni.
The new rally, scheduled for October 12, will focus on demanding a ceasefire, an end to genocide, Israeli bombing of Lebanon, and advocating for a free Palestine.
Various groups, including the Rome branch of ANPI, are showing solidarity with the Palestinian community for this cause. ANPI, in a statement, expressed condemnation and indignation for recent events.
Italy’s recent tensions with Israel, highlighted by the attack on UNIFIL peacekeeping missions, have added intensity to the situation.
Join the rally, stand up for what you believe in, and make your voice count in the fight for justice and peace.
