Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s Show in Pennsylvania
In Butler, Pennsylvania, where on July 13 Thomas Crooks attempted to assassinate the former president. Amidst imposing security measures, Trump takes the stage and recalls the “ferocious monster” who opened fire, injuring Trump in the ear and killing former firefighter Corey Comperatore, who died while trying to save his family sitting in the front row.
“I return to Butler with a simple message for Pennsylvania and America”: our movement “is closer to victory than ever,” said the former president, asking the audience to observe a minute of silence in honor of Comperatore. He then spoke out against the Democrats. “In the last eight years, those who wanted to stop us have accused me, indicted me, and tried to drive me out of office, and who knows, maybe even tried to kill me. But I won’t stop and I won’t be stopped,” he assured. “You deserve a country that defends you and is respected as it was four years ago. Now they laugh at us,” the former president added, praising his vice-president JD Vance. “Did you see how good he was in the debate against Tim Walz?”, Trump asked the audience. The former president then invited Elon Musk on stage.
Wearing a black ‘Occupy Mars’ t-shirt, a black visor cap, and a black jacket – “I’m a Dark Maga,” he joked – the billionaire said he was honored to participate in the event. “This election is the most important of our lives. The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech,” Musk said, explaining that “freedom of speech is necessary to have democracy. Trump must win to preserve the constitution and democracy.” The CEO of X then urged everyone to vote: it is crucial – he said – as this election could be decided by a small margin of votes. “Fight, fight, fight. Vote, vote, vote,” Musk then sang, embracing Trump and leaving the stage.
The former president then promised that with him in the White House, the “third world war, to which we are very close, will be avoided.” “We win in Pennsylvania and we win everywhere,” he emphasized as early voting has begun in many states and about 1.4 million Americans have already voted. “Together we save the country” from the “incompetent” Kamala Harris, who only wants to “raise your taxes,” he told the audience. “We want a victory so overwhelming that they can’t steal it from us,” he added, referring to the ‘Big Lie’ of the stolen 2020 election.
