The Indonesian Catholic Lecturers Association (iKDKI) Jakarta Region Inaugurates New Management Team
Exciting news from the iKDKI Jakarta Region as they recently held their Regional Management inauguration for the 2024-2029 term at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia.
Bringing together educators from 38 universities in Jakarta and its surrounding areas, the event focused on enhancing collaboration under the theme of “Serving with Brotherly Love, Strengthening Intelligent Competence.”
The Regional Working Meeting was a platform for refining the work program of iKDKI’s Jakarta management and strengthening the network among Catholic lecturers in the region, as reported by MIRIFICA News, the official news site of the Bishops’ Conference of Indonesia.
During the event, Dr. Rustono Farady Marta, Head of iKDKI Jakarta, emphasized the importance of continuous community service and engagement. Prof. Dr. Albertus Wahyurudhanto, an advisor to the board, highlighted the significance of promoting literacy and effective service.
Prof. Dr. Yuda Turana, Rector of Unika Atma Jaya, underlined the values of integrity and academic excellence, announcing new policies to support lecturers in advancing to professorship for academic and national development.
Prof. Agustinus Purna Irawan, General Chairperson of iKDKI, urged the community to address societal issues such as corruption and intolerance, emphasizing the role of lecturers as models in professional formation.
The event concluded with a solemn Holy Mass at the St. Albertus Magnus Chapel, where the new board members pledged to enhance the academic community. iKDKI Jakarta aims to support the development of dedicated and competent Catholic lecturers.
