Welcome to the upcoming event that will inspire your soul and deepen your connection with the divine – the Claretians in the Philippines are gearing up for this year’s Word Conference. Set to take place on November 30th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Hall in Claret School of Quezon City, this conference carries the theme “Praying the Word of God: Lord, Teach Us to Pray” (Luke 11:1). It shines a spotlight on the significance of prayer in the lives of believers and the Church as a whole.
As part of the Church’s preparations for the 2025 Jubilee Year, Pilgrims of Hope, Pope Francis has urged the faithful to intensify their prayer life to prepare for this significant event. His emphasis on the importance of prayer encourages believers to rediscover its value in personal life, the Church, and the world.
The conference will delve deep into the Our Father, the Lord’s Prayer, which Pope Francis highlights as foundational to Christian prayer. Through this prayer, believers establish a direct connection with the Father through Jesus Christ.
Additionally, the conference will explore the Eucharist, considered by the Church as the pinnacle of the Christian life. Eucharistic liturgy and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament provide powerful opportunities for personal encounters with the divine.
Emphasizing the value of community prayer, Pope Francis encourages believers to deepen their commitment to prayer. The conference will also reflect on the role of humility in prayer, as believers surrender to God’s will and acknowledge their limitations.
Hosted by the Claretian Missionaries, the conference aims to foster dialogue and expand avenues for spiritual growth through prayer. Registration for the event is available at www.wordcon.ph.
