Hezbollah spokesperson Hassan Fadlallah has stated that the conflict between the militant group and Israel has now entered a “new phase” and confirmed that attacks will continue until a ceasefire is reached in the Gaza war. According to the BBC.
Speaking at the funeral of a Hezbollah member killed in Friday’s attack, Fadlallah said, “We have a strong and capable resistance. All options are on the table, we are ready for any scenario.”
Today, a massive wave of missiles launched by Hezbollah hit the Lower Galilee and towns north of Haifa. Some individuals were injured by shrapnel in Kiriat Bialik. Rockets were also launched towards the Tiberias area, as reported by Israeli media. Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the missile attack this morning in the Krayot area, near Haifa, where some people were injured, stating that they targeted a structure belonging to the Israeli defense company Rafael. The rocket launch was declared in response to explosions in Lebanon last week, which killed over thirty group members and injured thousands of other militants, as reported by the Times of Israel.
Hezbollah stated that they hit Israeli military industrial complexes in response to the explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies in recent days, which resulted in dozens of deaths and thousands of injuries. “In an initial response” to the explosions, Hezbollah “bombed Rafael’s military industrial complexes” in northern Israel with “dozens” of rockets, the party of God stated in a release.
“We have inflicted a series of hits on Hezbollah that it did not anticipate. If they have not understood the message, I assure you they will now. We are determined to bring our residents in the north back safely to their homes. We will do whatever is necessary to restore security,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commenting on the recent escalation in the north.
Significant damage was caused earlier today in Beit Shearim in the Jezreel Valley, Moreshet in Misgav, and Kiryat Bialik, towns north of Haifa, following massive missile launches from Lebanon. Hezbollah claimed to have used the Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles for the first time, along with Katyusha rockets. The Hezbollah Al-Mayadeen network reported that the Fadi 1 has a caliber of 220 mm and a range of 80 km, as reported by Ynet.
The UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon warned of an “imminent catastrophe” in the Middle East as violence escalates between Israel and Hezbollah. “With the region on the brink of an imminent catastrophe, it cannot be stressed enough: there is no military solution that will make both parties safer,” said Special Coordinator Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert in a statement on X.
“A military escalation is not in Israel’s interest,” said the White House regarding the crisis in Lebanon.
The US Embassy in Lebanon raised its security alert level to the maximum, advising all US citizens not to travel to Lebanon for security reasons.

Herzog rejects accusations against Israel regarding explosions in Lebanon
Israeli President Isaac Herzog, interviewed by British Sky News, when asked for a comment on the accusations against Israel regarding the explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon last week, denied any connection to those operations, stating: “I categorically reject any connection to this or that operation.”
The president instead referred to the attack, attributed by Israel to Hezbollah, which hit Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights in July. In that attack, at least 12 people, including children, were killed. Herzog emphasized that Israel “has the right to defend itself.”
