Today, the Council of Ministers has given the green light for the state of emergency in the Emilia Romagna and Marche regions following the flood of September 18-20, 2024. The initial aid package amounting to 20 million euros will be allocated, under the leadership of the Minister for Civil Protection. This decision comes after a request made by Musumeci for an investigation into the situation by the National Department for Emilia Romagna. The emergency state will last for 12 months in the provinces of Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena, and Rimini.
