After Two Years: Vaccheria Hosts “Viaggio nella Pop Art: A New Way to Love Things”
Step into the world of Pop Art at the Vaccheria cultural space in the EUR district, where “Viaggio nella Pop Art: A New Way to Love Things” is now on display. Curated by Giuliano Gasparotti and Francesco Mazzei, this exhibition boasts approximately 200 works from private collections and the Rosini Gutman Collection, and you can experience it for free until March 31, 2025.
Once a Roman farmhouse and stable, Vaccheria EUR has been transformed into a vibrant cultural hub for emerging talent and local artists. With this latest project, it aims to solidify its place as the Roman home of Pop Art – a contemporary interpretation of Warhol’s iconic Factory.

The Exhibition
Delve into nearly eight decades of Pop Art at this immersive exhibition, showcasing the movement’s rebellious beginnings and its evolution into modern and contemporary forms.
The exhibition features around 200 works by 45 Italian and international artists, exploring the diverse expressions of Pop Art – from American classics to Nouveau Réalisme, Roman art scene influences, and the emergence of New Pop, Urban Art, and the New Web Generation.
The exhibit is divided into three themes: American Pop Art featuring iconic works by Warhol, Lichtenstein, Rauschenberg, and Indiana; the significant role of female artists in the New Pop Art scene; and a spotlight on the Italian foundations of the movement, particularly the School of Piazza del Popolo.

Notable highlights include Warhol’s “Liza Minnelli” and “Cow,” Niki De Saint Phalle’s “Nana dansant,” Angeli’s “Olimpico” series, Festa’s “Manet” (1981), and Schifano’s reimagined photos and “Piazza delle Muse inquietanti.”
The exhibition coincided with the inaugural edition of the “From Pop to Pop” festival, a three-day celebration of popular culture featuring film screenings, lectures, and live jazz performances.

Supported by Roma Capitale and Kif Italia, the exhibition aims to showcase the enduring impact of Pop Art on contemporary culture and society.
