Exciting News: Nutella Plant-Based Hits Supermarkets in Italy!
Get ready, chocolate hazelnut spread lovers! Italian food giant Ferrero has just announced the launch of a plant-based version of its iconic Nutella in Italy.
The new Nutella Plant-Based comes in a 350g jar with a retail price of €4.49. It’s a perfect treat for vegans and those who are lactose intolerant. This vegan spread replaces milk with plant-based ingredients like chickpeas and rice syrup, offering the same delicious taste and texture as the original Nutella.
You can spot the new product by its green lid, and it will be available on supermarket shelves this week in Italy, France, and Belgium. The rest of Europe can look forward to its release in 2025.
In addition to being gluten-free, Nutella Plant-Based is certified by the Vegetarian Society as “Vegan Approved.” Ferrero, the company behind Nutella, has assured that the palm oil used in the spread is 100% certified and sustainable, keeping it separate from conventional palm oil throughout the supply chain.
Nutella, a globally loved treat from Italy, is sold in 170 countries. Its fans across the world celebrate World Nutella Day on 5th February each year.
