During the meeting, just a few days after the eighth anniversary of the quake that hit central Italy, President Meloni confirmed to Mayor Cortellesi that the Government is committed to completing reconstruction work and restoring safety and development to the earthquake-affected areas.
The President of the Council of Ministers reaffirmed that the economic and social revival of the Central Apennines is a top priority for the Government, with the contribution of mayors and local institutions playing a crucial role in achieving this goal. Mayor Cortellesi thanked President Meloni for swiftly replying to his request for a meeting, for her touching message to mark the anniversary of 24 August 2016, and for the Government’s efforts.
