The Controversy Surrounding Madonna’s Alleged Party in Pompeii
Speculations about a lavish party for Madonna in Pompeii have been making headlines in Italy, stirring up controversy.
The Pompeii archaeological park has swiftly rebutted these claims, dismissing reports suggesting that the popstar would be hosting a private birthday bash with 500 guests at the historic site.
The rumors, which garnered attention from both Italian and international media, revolved around Madonna supposedly renting out the Teatro Grande in Pompeii to commemorate her 66th birthday, for a rumored fee of €30,000.
As criticism mounted against the alleged event, the Pompeii archaeological park released a statement on Monday refuting the notion of a “mega-party” and the reported rental cost as baseless.
Interestingly, on the same day, Pompeii unveiled the discovery of two skeletons of a man and a woman, victims of the historic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, along with a trove of coins and jewelry.
