Today, Italy has won three medals (one gold, one silver, and one bronze).
Ruggero Tita and Caterina Banti secured the gold medal in the Nacra 17 sailing event held in Marseille. Following their gold win in Tokyo 2020, the Italian team has once again proved themselves as Olympic champions. With only three days left in the Paris 2024 games, this marks Italy’s tenth gold medal.
In the C2 500 canoe sprint, Italy clinched the silver medal. Gabriele Casadei and Carlo Tacchini finished behind China and ahead of Spain. The morning began with a bronze medal for Ginevra Taddeucci in the 10-kilometer open water swim in the Seine. Despite concerns about the river’s water quality, the race proceeded smoothly after the cancellation of the initial practice due to safety issues.
