Discover the Magic of the Monte Artemisio Forest with “Il bosco stellato tra cultura e sapori” Event!

Are you ready to immerse yourself in a unique experience in the heart of Monte Artemisio? Join us on Friday, August 9th, for the first edition of “Il bosco stellato tra cultura e sapori”, an event organized by the Fondazione De Cultura in collaboration with the Comune di Velletri and Parco dei Castelli Romani, with the support of Regione Lazio. This event promises a variety of activities including hiking, workshops, educational sessions, and stargazing to fully enjoy the beauty of the Velletri mountain.
Meet at 5:15 PM at Fonte del Turano, where the guide Enzo Toto will lead a two-hour hike to Rifugio Forestale. Make sure to bring a handheld or headlamp flashlight for the return trip to your cars in the evening, along with comfortable shoes. The hike is suitable for all skill levels.
Starting at 6:30 PM from the parking lot of Fontana Marcaccio, a walking (or shuttle) tour will head to Rifugio Forestale for a range of activities for both adults and children: workshops, tastings, music, and readings. Local delicacies such as panzanella, peaches in wine, cheeses, honey, figs, and prosciutto will be available to sample along with regional wines.
Children will also have activities tailored for them, in an event designed to be elegant and captivating within the mountain atmosphere and ecosystem to be preserved and integrated with.
At 10 PM, the highlight of the event will take place with stargazing from the area in front of Rifugio Forestale, offering a unique opportunity to connect with nature from the starlit forest to the universe. At the end, you can choose to return to Fonte del Turano or Fontana Marcaccio.
This exciting and emotional initiative is made possible by the collaboration of various local entities: PubbliR, Vemi Fratelli Canini, Fantajungla, CAI Sottosezione di Velletri, Vignaroli Velletrani, Briciole, and Great Love Events Planner. Admission is, of course, free.
