A Spiritual Gift to Southwark

These newly ordained priests will soon embark on missions globally to spread the Word.
Embracing Faith and Love
Archbishop Wilson was deeply moved by the warm hospitality he experienced in Nigeria. He expressed, “I have never encountered a place where the word ‘welcome’ was so frequently and sincerely spoken. This profound sense of welcome was evident everywhere I went, from the airport to various religious sites and throughout the city. The grace and genuine kindness extended to me, a stranger, left a lasting impact.”
Moreover, Archbishop Wilson commended Nigerian Catholics for their unwavering faith in Christ and their profound love for the Church. Their dedication to the Mass, Eucharistic adoration, the Holy Rosary, and service to the community is truly inspiring.
He concluded his message by acknowledging the diverse tapestry of faith brought by Catholics from Nigeria and around the world, enriching the Church with their unique cultural backgrounds.
Archbishop Wilson encapsulated his visit by stating, “The warmth of welcome, the depth of faith, and the steadfast trust of the Nigerian Catholics will always remain etched in my heart as I recall the faces of the remarkable individuals I had the pleasure of meeting.”
