‘The biggest mosquito of my life’
Brett Baier of Fox News had a 15-minute phone call with Donald Trump and reported that the tycoon “praised President Biden for the phone call” he made, calling it a “good conversation.”
Trump told Baier – according to his account – that he had just turned his head to look at an infographic on immigration statistics during the rally when he heard something he described as “the biggest mosquito of his life” or “a hornet that seemed to be in his ear.” Instead, it was a bullet.
Trump then told him that he looked at his hand, saw the blood, and fell to the ground. The tycoon then said that when he raised his fist to the crowd, he actually wanted to go back and say a few words to his supporters, but the Secret Service was pushing him off the stage.

Melania and Ivanka will not speak at the Convention
Former President Trump’s campaign has announced a list of speakers for the Republican convention starting today in Milwaukee, from rapper and model Amber Rose to controversial anchor Tucker Carlson, to investor and podcaster David Sacks and former advisor Peter Navarro, just released from jail for contempt of Congress.
The list includes UFC’s CEO Dana White, evangelical leader Franklin Graham, country music stars Lee Greenwood and Chris Janson, as well as potential vice-presidents on the GOP ticket. Also speaking will be Trump’s eldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, the former’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle (former Fox News host), and the latter’s wife Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican Party.
There are no plans for former First Lady Melania or Ivanka. Among the entrepreneurs and activists are Charlie Kirk, Diane Hendricks, Perry Johnson, former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, and Steven and Zach Witkoff. Also included are Tom Homan, former Acting Director of Border Patrol, and Teamsters union president Sean O’Brien. Some of the speakers have sparked controversies in African American and Latino communities, so Trump will have to avoid compromising his efforts to strengthen his grip on this segment of the electorate.
